Since 2014, Bogotá Auctions has contributed decisively to the structuring and professionalization of the secondary art market in Colombia. We have established standards for transparency, publication of results, and commercial efficiency that are now a national benchmark.
Our results speak for themselves, reflecting the strength of the public auction model:
- Active competition among buyers.
- Trust in the process.
- Ability to generate verifiable public valuation.
- Strengthening of the Colombian art market.
Once the auction has concluded, you will receive an email with a detailed report of the lots awarded to you, including payment instructions and guidelines for arranging collection or shipping. If you have any questions or specific requests regarding these matters, please reply directly to that email.
To arrange your shipment, please send us an email stating your request along with the destination address and the declared value (the amount for which the piece will be insured against damage or loss).
Our logistics team will provide you with a formal quote. Please note that this service carries an administrative surcharge of 15% on the freight cost. It is important to remember that transport is carried out at the buyer's own risk and expense; therefore, Bogotá Auctions is exempt from any liability regarding incidents that may occur during transit.
We offer several ways to participate in our auctions:
In-Person (Floor Bidding): Participate directly by attending the auction at our physical headquarters.
Online (Live Bidding): Connect to the auction in real-time through our website by following the path: Auctions → Current Auctions → Live Bidding. This requires you to be registered and logged in.
Telephone (Telephone Bidding): A member of our team will call you minutes before your lot of interest comes up for auction to represent you in the salesroom, following your specific instructions.
By Email (Absentee Bidding): Send us the maximum amount of your offer via email, and we will place bids on your behalf.
Automatic (Written/Proxy Bidding): Through our website (under Auctions → Current Auctions → View Lots), you can enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay for a lot. The system will automatically bid for you during the auction, ensuring you stay in the lead without exceeding your limit if there are no other competing bidders.
