A work by Rufino Tamayo will be auctioned in Bogotá

This is what El Universal has to say about us:

The auction house Bogotá Auctions will auction a work by the celebrated Mexican master Rufino Tamayo for the first time in Colombia, titled Personaje en un interior (1988). This piece, a mixograph reflecting the artist's technical maturity and masterful use of color, represents a milestone for the local market by introducing international figures of Mexican modern art and muralism. The work comes from a private collection and stands as the lead lot in an auction aimed at attracting pan-regional collectors. According to the house directors, the inclusion of Tamayo reinforces the goal of turning Bogotá into a center of gravity for Latin American art, reaching beyond Colombian borders. This event underscores the growing confidence that owners of great masters have in the country's auction system.
