With Bogotá Auctions, Colombia enters the auction market

Colombia is launching its first official auction house, Bogotá Auctions, with an inaugural Latin American art event on February 19th. Led by a team of international experts, this initiative aims to position the capital within the global art market through a frequent and open bidding system. The debut auction will feature 42 lots from renowned masters such as Alejandro Obregón and Ana Mercedes Hoyos, with pieces valued at up to 65 million pesos. In the long term, the house also plans to trade antiques, jewelry, and high-value furniture alongside visual arts.
