From Colonial to Design

This is what La Nota Económica has to say about us:

Bogotá Auctions presents a selection of 135 pieces that trace the history of decorative arts from the colonial era to 20th-century modern design. The event is notable for including the personal collections of Colombian masters Luis Alberto Acuña and Manuel Estrada, offering an intimate look at their private taste in furniture and art objects. Among the most striking lots are a 1925 French Art Deco buffet, rugs by master artist Olga de Amaral, and iconic pieces by designers such as Charles Eames and Philippe Starck. Historical treasures also stand out, including 18th-century Bolivian silver "mariolas" and a "Pasto varnish egg" that belonged to the renowned anthropologist Gregorio Hernández de Alba. The auction aims to connect collectors with rare pieces of prestigious provenance that seldom enter the public market.
