The inaugural Bogotá Auctions event will take place this Wednesday at the Museo Chicó, featuring a curated selection of 42 modern and contemporary artworks from private collectors. Highlights include Alejandro Obregón’s Mojarra, with a starting price of $25,000, and Enrique Grau’s Naturaleza Muerta Lunar, valued at $9,000. The event will also showcase works by prominent figures such as Ana Mercedes Hoyos, Armando Villegas, and Teresa Cuéllar, welcoming both seasoned investors and art enthusiasts. Benjamín Creutzfeldt, the auctioneer, emphasizes that this multidisciplinary team aims to establish a regular cycle of four art sales per year. This structure seeks to formalize the local market by consistently accepting pieces of high quality and verified provenance.
